Telehealth: Online Counseling

Online Counseling

Online therapy

Living in a world that is basically ran 99.9% by technology it was important to me to add this option for clients. I personally understand how difficult it can be to make it to appointments due to the multitude of life responsibilities… not to mention living outside of the city limit, transportation or childcare issues or getting stuck at work. So, to make it easier for you, I’ve added video counseling services and obtained certification as a Certified Telehealth provider to meet this growing need. Now we can meet wherever it’s most convenient for you!

Very similar to Skype or FaceTime, virtual sessions via Simple Practice (same platform as the client portal) is easy to use – I promise! All you need is a computer (preferably, however a cell phone works), a web camera/mic, a quiet space and a good Internet connection. The Telehealth Simple Practice app is free and can be downloaded to your PC or phone. To learn more about Simple Practice Telehealth and to learn more about telehealth in general click here.

You will get a reminder 10 minutes before the time of your session with a link to access your telehealth session. You click the link and enter your name and join the call. We will have the session similarly to an in-office session. Simple Practice Telehealth is secure and HIPAA compliant.

Through several trainings attended and my own personal research I have found that meeting with you online is just as effective as meeting with you face-to-face. Due to online counseling ease of use, you might be more likely to stick with your treatment plan (i.e. less cancellations, etc).

If you have any questions, please let me know. I’m happy to help you decide whether online counseling makes sense for you as there are some factors to consider. You can schedule an online video counseling session (Please Note: If you are a new client a phone consultation is first required to assess if you are a good fit for telehealth) by calling us at 678-237-6540.

**Please note that I typically do not recommend online therapy for couples as I believe this type of session is more effective in the office setting.

**Online Video Sessions are only available for clients residing in Georgia and New Jersey.

**Be mindful your insurance may or may not cover these sessions.
